How to Cook Wagyu

Here's a simple guide to cooking sirloin steak in a frying pan:

**Ingredients:**

- Sirloin steak

- Salt and pepper

- Olive oil or cooking oil

- Optional: Butter, garlic, herbs for additional flavor

**Instructions:**

1. **Bring the Steak to Room Temperature:**

- Take the sirloin steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. This ensures more even cooking.

2. **Season the Steak:**

- Season both sides of the sirloin steak with salt and pepper. You can also add any additional herbs or spices for extra flavor.

3. **Preheat the Pan:**

- Place a medium to large-sized frying pan on medium-high heat. Allow the pan to get hot before adding the steak. You can check if it's hot enough by flicking a few drops of water onto the pan – they should sizzle and evaporate quickly.

4. **Cooking the Steak:**

- Drizzle a bit of olive oil or cooking oil into the hot pan. Carefully place the sirloin steak into the pan. You should hear a sizzling sound when the steak makes contact with the pan.

- Cook the steak for about 2-3 minutes on each side for a medium-rare to medium doneness. Adjust the time based on your desired level of doneness.

5. **Optional: Add Butter and Aromatics:**

- If desired, add a knob of butter, garlic, and herbs to the pan during the last minute of cooking. Baste the steak with the melted butter for added richness and flavor.

6. **Rest the Steak:**

- Once cooked to your liking, remove the sirloin steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the steak juicy and flavorful.

7. **Slice and Serve:**

- After resting, slice the sirloin steak against the grain into thin strips. Serve it with your favorite side dishes, such as vegetables, potatoes, or a fresh salad.

Enjoy your deliciously cooked sirloin steak! Adjust the seasoning and cooking times to suit your personal preferences.
